No, this is not a story about a Fool but it is about my Journey to become a Tarot Reader and Advisor.
So, how does this image of the first card in the Major Arcana fit in with my story? Well, The Fool is
starting on his journey unafraid and unaware of what is to come. This could have been me when I
was introduced into the metaphysical world because I was fearless and didn’t know what would
happen if I read Tarot.
Years ago a friend gave me a large quartz crystal point and explained how crystals have unique
vibrations and could help us in our lives. At that time I was in a very stressful business that I did not enjoy. I was willing to try almost anything to be happier. It didn’t hurt that I really like pretty shiny things and if they would help me in any way I was ready to bring them into my life.
Years later I had a Tarot reading looking for direction in my life. It seemed a natural transition, and I was captivated by the allure of the cards and their hidden meanings. However, life’s responsibilities took precedence, leaving my thoughts of the Tarot cards behind.
As the years passed, I couldn’t ignore the desire to explore the Tarot until eventually I purchased my first tarot deck. I was very excited to get my deck home. It didn’t take me long to realize that this was something that I’d been missing from my life for a long time. As I learned more about them I realized I needed more knowledge so I signed up for a course to get a certification from Biddy Tarot, which is based in Australia. It took about a year to absorb everything and I became experienced in reading Tarot for myself and others. By then I knew I was hooked.
At the age of 69, it didn’t seem logical to begin a new career but I realized that my years of experience in life would be beneficial. Along with my training, I had actually gained some wisdom that I could use with my intuition which had been lying dormant for so long.
I knew in my heart that this was my calling and I wished sometimes that I had found this Higher Purpose earlier in my life. I also knew that things come into our lives when it is the right time. I would never have had the time to devote to this wonderful part of my life when I was working but now in retirement, I can portion out my time without stress. I’ve learned I can help others to discover their Highest Purpose and reach their full potential. Unlike me, hopefully, I can help them earlier in their life.
Now as I have read for so many other people, I have testimonies that attest to my gift, my empathy, my wisdom, and my understanding of how we can overcome obstacles in our lives. It doesn’t have to be about finding our highest purpose or our fullest potential. It can also be just a regular question like the following:
Which direction should I go after college?
How can I fit in at my new job?
Should I move to another state for my career?
What should my Major be at University?
How will I know if my new boyfriend is right for me?
My mission is to help people in any way they need it and I can use the power of the Tarot to help lead them, advise them, and guide them on their path of self-discovery and personal growth.
So this is who I am today. I am a Certified Tarot Reader Advisor and a member of the American Tarot Association. I also have a Certificate from the International Tarot Association for being an Ethical Tarot Reader. Please let me help you on your journey.
